Minor Characters, Major Influence

Throughout the Gracious Plenty thus far, I have come to a rather huge conclusion there is no such thing as minor characters because they all contribute so much to this story. However, if I had to pick one character that I find most intriguing in this novel I would have to pick Lucy. Yes, I know that technically she is dead, but she has told us so much that you have to wonder what she has left to tell. So far we have learned that her "murder" was not a murder, but according to her actually a suicide. Then, in her life she had a boyfriend that she let mutilate her by writing words across her breasts, having survived a disturbed father, and not to mention her forced pageant life by her mother. I can not help but think that since she has already told Finch all of this that she has other things to tell, however tragic or disturbing they may be.
Yet apart from her actual living life her after life proves to be just as intriguing. Just from what we have seen already she proves to be an amazing character. Aside from her characteristics I find her wrath extremely fascinating it started when she was made at Finch for her relationship with Leonard then it seems to be escalating with the coming storm.
All in all, I can not wait till I see where her wrath is going to end up. I can not wait to she if Lucy becomes lighter as they say. If she can overcome her life that made her so extremely unhappy that she had to run away and fall so far from grace that she felt she had no choice but to take her own life. I am wondering and hoping that she will find peace in death.

Work Stock

Since I have concluded finishing my literary narrative I was asked to answer questions about taking stock in my work. This is what I have come up with: I think that I told the story marginally well or at least to the best of my ability, as my memory would serve me. I got my point across of knowing that literature does not have a designated mode. Something I did especially well was to give the audience the vibe of the class the way that it felt to me. However, something that could of been improved is giving more detail or including more dialogue.
Anyway, I came up with ideas and generating text by just basically free writing and getting all of my ideas on paper or on the screen as the case may be. Then one idea would just lead into the other creating basically the body for my paper. To draft my narrative, however, I basically took my free write and just adapted it to the paper's format.
Although I did not use photographs or graphics I did not think that they were important or that they would of essentially contributed to anything in my paper that I did not already describe to the audience.
The responses that I received influenced my paper greatly because when I write my ideas or my thoughts they may flow and make sense to me, but not always to others. Also, I am usually pretty bad at fragments and punctuation part of writing so if I have responses, corrections, or just some one's ideas to make my paper better they are always and sincerely welcome.
All in all, next time I would probably use more dialogue to make it seem more real or to give the reader a better sense of the situation. Also, I would be more descriptive to make the narrative more detailed for the audience.

Life's Dash

The dash between the years of life and death are said to indicate the true meaning of life. However, the dash in my life is defined by my close relationship with my family. They are the people who fight with me all the time, but they are also the people that I can count on for anything. They are there for the good, the bad, the ugly, and the tragic. My sister and I basically have the same brain and even though we fight all the time she is my best friend no matter what because she's been there for everything. My family and I are so close because without them I'm not me.

Gracious Intro

The short amount of the Gracious Plenty that we have read so far, the first fifty pages, I find very interesting. Finch is the tragic heroine of this book by far, I mean she has lived through being disfigured as a child and still she doesn't let people walk all over her. She figures that she doesn't need them, she has the company of the dead people from her graveyard. Who I really feel bad for especially the former beauty queen. More mysteries to come and to be revealed I guess.
